What is the Hiragana syllabary?

This syllabary consists of 48 syllables and is mainly used to write word endings (okurigana), in places where kanji is not normally used (such as some adverbs, adjectives, words with obscure or rare kanji), and sometimes used to indicate the reading of certain kanji.

There are 46 Hiragana to learn.
In addition to those 46 hiragana there are some hiragana with different pronunciation.
